EMG expands operation in China underlining continued business growth

May 2011

Global B2B communications consultancy, EMG, has expanded its Shanghai office by over 50% to accommodate increased staff and growth in its client portfolio. This reflects continued business growth building on its leading position as the B2B and industrial communications specialist in Shanghai.

Headquartered in the Netherlands, EMG delivers international PR and communications programmes to blue-chip industrial and tech companies around the world. Over the past 20 years it has built a uniquely strong position in the plastics, chemicals, coatings and related downstream industries. Since establishing in China in 2004, EMG has leveraged its international experience and now handles one of the strongest portfolios of client accounts in these sectors, as evidenced at the upcoming Chinaplas 2011 where EMG will provide support for 10 companies at the event.

“China’s PR industry has entered a Golden Age and all the world's eyes are on China. The voice of domestic and foreign enterprises in China is being communicated to market-audiences through close cooperation with professional PR firms. As the market evolves and becomes ever more sophisticated, competition will intensify and B2B brand communication will become more widely practiced to help companies get their message across and differentiate themselves, ” said John, Gallagher, General Manager of EMG China. “The office expansion, extended teamcount and wider investment in our support operations and systems will drive higher service capability in terms of customer service, innovative PR solutions and high-quality PR activities.”

To mark the new office expansion, on Earth Day 2011 on April 22, EMG ‘s Shanghai team travelled to Dongtan Wetland Park in Chongming to plant trees symbolizing the prosperous growth of the company. This was another “green action” taken by EMG China following the “Green Communication-Clients & Media Gathering” held earlier this year.

“With our ongoing commitment and investment in our operations here in China, backed by our international experience and know-how, EMG is strongly positioned to provide the right level of service and expertise that B2B companies will increasingly require here in China,” added John.
