PPG to showcase technologies at China Composites Show 2014

Seminars to feature thermoplastic and air filtration products

SHANGHAI, Aug. 18, 2014 – PPG Industries’ (NYSE: PPG) will showcase its portfolio of fiber glass products and technologies at the China Composites Expo 2014, Sept. 3-5, along with hosting booth seminars (booth A501, Hall No. 1). China Composites Expo (CCE) is the largest and most influential composite event in the Asia Pacific region, attracting more than 15,000 attendees from around the world. This year’s event marks the show’s 20th anniversary, and PPG has been involved for nine years.

“PPG offers a wide range of high-quality fiber glass products such as HYBON(R) direct roving, INNOFIBER(R) fiber glass compositions and TUFROV(R) long fiber thermoplastic rovings, as well as other reinforcement materials and a comprehensive selection of industrial and specialty yarns,” said Gerry Marino, PPG global business development director of transportation and consumer markets. “Our strategy is to support customers in China and around the world in targeted market segments that demand stringent specifications and performance requirements, and we are among the largest producers in the $7.2 billion global fiber glass industry.”

During the expo, Marino will present on “Thermoplastic Markets and Technologies” and Rick Chen, PPG market development manager, Asia Pacific, will discuss “Better Air, Better Filtration with PPG Specialty Yarns.” The complete schedule for PPG’s presentations is as follows:
